How refreshing would it be if he picked the team on form. Sorry guys, you've done nothing in last 6 months - what makes you think we're going to show up in July and all of a sudden you're going to turn it on?

On the bench;

Rooney
Welbeck
Sturridge
Henderson
Gibbs
Milner
etc

If you come on and absolutely have a stormer - you've earned the right to start the next game.

End of the day - we've picked 'the favourites' for the last 26 years and done absolutely nothing - So lets try a different system - choose the form players and see how it goes - whats the worst that's gonna happen ? Get to the quarter finals and lose on pens?

Re: Has Woy finally lost the plot?
By your purely hypothetical scenario, if Wilshere and Shaw play 5 games at the end of this season, they'll be going to the Euros fit and extremely fresh.

Re: Has Woy finally lost the plot?
It’s ridiculous how he is even considering the likes of Shaw or Wilshere. The Euro’s last 3 weeks and you want players that can hit the ground running. You aren’t picking a squad that you want to represent you for the next 7 years, just one that can do the business over the next 7 games.

Purely hypothetical, but if Carroll or Berahino or even bloody Agbonlahor bang in 10 goals in the last 10 games of the season, they’d be in my squad going to the Euro’s. If Loftus Cheek forces his way into the Chelsea first team and had a blinder over the next 3 months, scores a hat full of goals and creates loads of chances he’d be in my squad as well. You’ve got much more chance of winning games with a team full of eager, in form and uber confident players than you have with players that have spent a majority of the last 9 months on the treatment table.

I wouldn’t even begin to guarantee players a place in the squad until the end of April. Absolutely anything could happen between now and then and someone could easily hit a freak purple patch of form that could prove the difference between losing a game 1-0 and winning a game 2-1.

Re: Has Woy finally lost the plot?
I think a team of Bale, Ramsey, Ledley, Joe Allen, Ashely Williams, james Collins, Hennessey, Neil taylor, Ben Davies, Andy King and a few others would survive pretty easily I reckon...

Wales would be relegated??

Wow

Re: Has Woy finally lost the plot?
The Premier League is a higher standard than International Football.

FACT.

Top few teams apart, the rest are distinctly fucking average.

How would Wales or England's starting XI get on in the Premier League?

Wait, don't answer... I'll tell you. Wales would likely be relegated and England mid-table.

Re: Has Woy finally lost the plot?
Beckham's and Rooney's kids will be picked next.

Woy is a joke. Early onset .... I reckon?

Re: Has Woy finally lost the plot?
Nobes in the U21's was one of the best players in Pearcey's squad... always picked.... how many of those others made it to the full squad? Milner, Smalling, Welbeck, Sturridge I can think of?

Lato 5:03 Fri Mar 4
Re: Has Woy finally lost the plot?
Players should be in the squad on form not reputation come Michail Antonio a prime example. You just know we will fail again!

stewie griffin 5:03 Fri Mar 4
Re: Has Woy finally lost the plot?
Always been my argument, oa.

And people spend their entire time saying how shit international football is compared to the PL. But somehow Noble isn't good enough for it, despite the fact he's excelling in the PL yet again.

ornchurch ammer 5:01 Fri Mar 4
Re: Has Woy finally lost the plot?
I don't quite follow the Noble is not good enough for England argument.
Most people say that international football is slower and ball retention is vital. Surely this would suit Noble better than domestic football?

Re: Has Woy finally lost the plot?
i would like Carrick there. Best ball retention midfielder so should be in starting 11

Wilshere, Delph, Chambers, Gibbs should be nowhere near it for me. No form between the lot of them

Walcott & Welbeck need to improve

Agree with last sentence. Has made a massive tool of himself by preaching for years its about form and then said today if a player is class he will go regardless.

westham13 4:46 Fri Mar 4
Re: Has Woy finally lost the plot?
Name over performance in this case. I can't see how 2 players who have been injured all season can be picked for the Euros and 1 player who hasn't even played a full game of first team football ahead of players who have been performing week in week out.

But like Woy said..... All about Drinkwater

Blunders 4:44 Fri Mar 4

Rossal 4:42 Fri Mar 4

At least one of them will go.

I'm not saying none of that list should go, but the predictability of the squad picking itself with all the favourites in, at the expense of players who have done SO much more is pathetic.

Seeing as you consistently prove you know fuck all about anything, especially football, I'm not surprised at that prediction.

Rossal 4:42 Fri Mar 4
Re: Has Woy finally lost the plot?
Chambers Delph and Carrick you can take off that list

Joey Woodwork 4:40 Fri Mar 4

Doesn't leave many others to pick.
